Surrendered Expectancy
September 9, 2015 Thoughts swirling through my heart and mind as I read these words from Kenneth Copland, "I'm expecting resurrection power to accompany me wherever I go." Sitting, looking at these words tears start to swell in my eyes. The thoughts continue and I start to see a glimpse of answers forming and also more questions. As a lover of Jesus do I expect the resurrection power to accompany me WHEREVER I GO? In 2 Corinthians 4:10 it says, "We ALWAYS carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body." His power is always with us but as I started to ponder this verse I realized that so often myself and other followers of Jesus limit His power within ourselves. I've expected Jesus to show up when commanding healing over myself and others but then I walk into a school or a store and I put a lid on the expectancy, I hide from it.
